When Looking Crazy Brings Glory to God - 2 Corinthians 5:13

We may be called hateful or old-fashioned, but Christ will call us faithful. This 1-minute devotion explains. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

Jesus came to save men from sin. His sacrifice is the greatest gift ever offered to mankind.

As His followers, we’re called to share Christ, teaching people what He commands (Matthew 28:18-20).

Our culture has approved many acts of immorality that damage people’s souls, and there is great pressure for Christians to conform.

But when we love Jesus, we want to be faithful to Him. We know His commands are loving and just, transforming and freeing, healing and lifechanging. We've seen them change our lives and we cannot remain silent about them.

Many people think we're crazy to define love and hate the way God defines them. In fact, many of them actually hate us for sharing God's truth. But that's what we should expect when we are part of God's family:

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you”’ John 15:18-19

I encourage you to read 2 Corinthians 5. It explains that "God has given us this task of reconciling people to him" and we're compelled by Christ's love to do just that.

"If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God" (verse 13).

  1. Thank You Gail

In order to live a Christocentric life for God, we must agree that God is always right and we will always be wrong. Unless we are at all times in total agreement with Him and the instructions given to us by God for righteous living. To often the believer is quite passive towards sin or becomes legalistic in the process in telling the good news of Christ. Unfortunately, when this happens, their love walk (1 Corinthians 13:4-11)for those inside and outside the life of Christ goes unseen and unfelt.
